Children

Youth Aquatics puts the “fun” in fundamentals.

All swimming and water safety skills are developmentally appropriate for young children.

Children's Swim LessonsEach class is challenging with activities that motivate children to want to perform and learn to swim. Different games, toys, and techniques are a few of the strategies our swim school uses to help your child become safer and better swimmers. The one-on-one or semi-private approach to learning expedites the learning process tremendously. Parents are constantly amazed how quickly a child can progress in our program. Typically a child can learn in one of our half hour sessions, what it takes an entire week in traditional group lessons to achieve.

American Red Cross Aquatics consists of progressive levels of swim instruction for children. Once all skills are achieved, participants receive a completion certificate.

Private Lessons

Specializing in Children with Aquaphobia

We believe one-on-one is one of the best environments for individuals to learn to swim, especially if a child has had a fearful experience in the water. A child who is afraid of the water and who struggles with Aquaphobia will learn best with one-on-one instruction.

The lesson can be customized to meet the students needs and to make sure the student is comfortable and confident in their abilities before moving to the next stage of learning. For an accelerated learning experience we recommend back to back lessons or a minimum of three lessons a week. The more practice the child has, the faster they will progress.

Parent & Tot Class

A fun environment for children to learn with their parent

It is important to introduce your child to water at an early age to reduce the the risk of drowning. Both parent and child will be in the water with an instructor as a group. This is the only large class that we offer. Parents will learn the proper handling techniques and will be introduced to some fundamental skills important for being in the water. The interaction with other kids at this age helps build social confidence in the child.

These affordable 30 minute Parent & Tot sessions use the latest teaching techniques in a progressive style. With an emphasis on structured and productive classes, our lessons are positive, encouraging and a fun learning environment. It is upon these principles your child will succeed!

Safety First!

It is important that your child learns to be safe in, on, and around the water, as well as learn to swim well. We teach them the foundations of water safety so they have the knowledge and skills when they are around or in water. However, it is important to remember that no matter how many lessons your child has there is no substitute for adult supervision.
